Deaf/Hard of Hearing Queer filmmaker, creative producer and researcher Sam Martin leads an artist-led Auslan tour at ACMI. He shares stories from his practice and examples of Auslan representation on film, then takes the group through The Story of the Moving Image, talking about the exhibits that mean the most to him.
Sam is completing a PhD at the Australian National University on Deaf-led documentary filmmaking and how film can work as a written form of sign language.
