When considering social change, disruption as a tool is often viewed as either excessive or as a force for good. But this overlooks how existing social structures are already disruptive themselves.

On the cusp of the fourth wave of feminism — amidst the #MeToo movement and incel phenomenon — Catherine’s artworks seek to expand our understanding of what living under the patriarchy looks like in this day and age as a young woman. Recognising that patriarchy is internalised, her work invites collective responsibility for both its perpetuation and dismantling.
